Privacy Policy

How Recova AI handles screen, camera, and audio recordings, advertising, family protections, and billing. By installing or using the App, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, uninstall the App and do not use it.

1. Summary

  • Recordings you create (screen, camera, microphone) stay on your device unless you share, export, or upload them.
  • We do not operate a Recova AI cloud account that stores your videos by default.
  • The App may show advertising (including third-party ad networks such as Google AdMob).
  • Optional in-app purchases / subscriptions may be offered through Google Play Billing or Apple In-App Purchase.
  • Recova AI is not directed at children under 13 and is not designed as a primary kids / “Designed for Families” app.

2. Information we process

2.1 Content you create (recordings)

Depending on the mode you choose, the App may access:

  • Screen content (MediaProjection / screen capture), which can include other apps, notifications, passwords, chats, banking screens, or other sensitive material if they appear on screen.
  • Camera (front and/or rear) for Facecam and Dual Cam layouts.
  • Microphone when you enable audio capture.

Recordings and related metadata (for example duration, file size, title, creation time) are stored in the App’s local library / device storage. We do not automatically upload your recordings to our servers.

Your responsibility: Only record screens and people you are allowed to record. Do not capture private data belonging to others without permission.

2.2 Device and app settings

The App may store on-device preferences such as theme, language, countdown, floating-controls preference, and similar settings (for example via local storage / MMKV). These stay on the device.

2.3 Permissions

The App may request permissions required for its features, including (as applicable):

  • Camera
  • Microphone
  • Notifications (for foreground recording services)
  • Display over other apps / overlay (floating controls and facecam bubble on Android)
  • Media / storage access as needed to save or read recordings

You can revoke permissions in system settings; some features will then stop working.

2.4 Crash / diagnostics (if enabled later)

If we add crash reporting or analytics (for example Firebase Crashlytics), those services may receive device and diagnostic data (app version, OS version, crash stacks). We will update this policy if such SDKs are enabled. Contact recovaai@apphubtechnology.com if you need confirmation of current production SDKs.

3. Advertising policy

Recova AI is supported by advertising.

3.1 What ads may appear

  • Banner ads
  • Interstitial (full-screen) ads after certain actions (for example after saving a recording)
  • Other ad formats supported by our ad partners

Ads may be placeholders during development and Google AdMob (or similar networks) in production builds.

3.2 What ad partners may collect

Third-party advertising partners (including Google) may collect or process information such as:

  • Advertising ID / device identifiers
  • IP address and approximate location derived from IP
  • Device type, OS version, app version
  • Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
  • Topics / interest signals used for ad selection, subject to your device and account settings

We do not sell your recordings to advertisers. Ad networks operate under their own privacy policies. For Google advertising, see:

3.3 Ad personalization and controls

  • On Android, you can reset or limit the Advertising ID in system settings.
  • In the EEA/UK and other regions where required, we may show a consent / UMP form before personalized ads. You can choose non-personalized ads where offered.
  • Premium / subscription tiers (when available) may reduce or remove ads; see Billing below.

3.4 Ads and children

We do not knowingly serve personalized ads to children under 13. See Family & children’s policy below.

4. Family & children’s policy

Recova AI is a productivity / creator recording tool intended for a general audience, typically 13+ (or the higher age required in your country).

  • The App is not marketed as a children’s app.
  • The App is not primarily designed for users under 13.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
  • If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App or related services, contact recovaai@apphubtechnology.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete it where applicable.
  • Parents and guardians should supervise device use. Screen recording can capture sensitive content; teach users not to record private data.

If we ever participate in Google Play’s Families policies or similar programs, we will update this policy and ad configuration accordingly (including restricted ads where required).

5. Billing, subscriptions, and purchases

5.1 How payments work

If Recova AI offers paid features (for example ad removal, premium tools, or subscriptions):

  • Payments are processed by Google Play Billing and/or Apple In-App Purchase, not by Recova AI’s own card forms.
  • Purchase history, payment method, and billing identity are handled by Google or Apple under their terms and privacy policies.
  • We may receive non-sensitive purchase status (for example “premium active,” product ID, expiry) needed to unlock features.

5.2 What we store about purchases

On device (and, if used later, via a purchase SDK such as RevenueCat), we may keep:

  • Entitlement / subscription status
  • Product identifiers
  • Restore-purchase results

We do not receive your full credit card number.

5.3 Refunds and cancellations

  • Manage or cancel subscriptions in Google Play or the App Store account settings.
  • Refund requests follow Google / Apple policies.
  • For billing help related to the App, email recovaai@apphubtechnology.com with your order ID / purchase date (do not send passwords).

5.4 Free vs paid

Free users may see ads. Paid plans, when offered, may remove or reduce ads and unlock additional features as described in the store listing and in-app purchase screens.

6. How we use information

We use information only to:

  • Provide recording, preview, library, and playback features
  • Remember your settings
  • Show ads and measure ad performance (via partners)
  • Process entitlements for paid features
  • Fix bugs, improve reliability, and respond to support requests
  • Comply with law and platform policies (Google Play, Apple App Store)

7. Sharing of information

We share information only as needed with:

  • Advertising partners (e.g. Google AdMob) for serving and measuring ads
  • App stores / billing providers (Google, Apple) for distribution and purchases
  • Service providers we may engage later (hosting, crash analytics, support tools), bound by confidentiality where appropriate
  • Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity

We do not sell your personal recordings as a product dataset.

8. Data retention

  • Recordings: retained on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App (subject to OS backup behavior).
  • Settings: retained on device until cleared or uninstall.
  • Support emails: retained as needed to resolve your request, then deleted or archived according to normal business practice.
  • Ad / purchase data: retained by Google / Apple and ad partners per their policies.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical measures appropriate for an on-device recording app (OS sandboxing, app-private storage where used). No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Protect your device with a lock screen and be careful when sharing recordings.

10. International users

If you use the App outside your home country, information processed by Google, Apple, or ad partners may be handled in other countries under their policies and applicable safeguards.

11. Your choices and rights

Depending on your region (including GDPR / CCPA where applicable), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data, or to object to certain processing.

Because most recording data never leaves your device, many requests are fulfilled by deleting recordings in the App or uninstalling. For other requests, email recovaai@apphubtechnology.com. We may need enough information to verify your request.

12. Third-party links and other apps

The App may open system settings, store pages, or other apps. Their privacy practices are their own. Screen capture may record whatever is visible on your device from other apps—use the App responsibly.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised policy. Material changes may also be noted in the store listing or in-app notices.
